Overview

Obsidian’s Zoom integration lets security teams monitor who is using Zoom and what they are doing in order to protect against inappropriate recording, oversharing, and suspicious Zoom usage. Security teams can detect and respond to poorly configured Zoom accounts, security incidents, and insider threats that involve Zoom in combination with other SaaS applications. Obsidian generates alerts related to a variety of risks and threats, including:

  • App configurations that violate security best practices
  • Unexpected participants on a regular Zoom call
  • Meetings recorded in sensitive environments
  • Meetings created without passwords
  • Suspicious logins; e.g., unfamiliar devices and locations, and impossible travel where a user appears to be in distant locations in a short time frame

The Obsidian Cloud Detection and Response platform provides frictionless security for SaaS. Obsidian allows security teams to detect threats, remediate breaches, and harden security in SaaS apps by continuously aggregating  and analyzing data around user access and activity. Obsidian has built deep integrations with leading SaaS-based communication and collaboration platforms that organizations are increasingly relying on to get remote work done, such as Slack, G Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and now Zoom.
