VMware Inc.
How to ensure a great Zoom experience? It starts with visibility and control.
VMware Edge Network Intelligence enhances Zoom experience for users, regardless of their location and devices. With users connecting remotely, VMware Edge Network Intelligence can provide network insights from the device perspective, tracking the status of its wireless state, Internet stability, gateway connectivity, and other factors that can impact performance. With the power of AIOPs, the IT team can get the visibility and full context they need to determine user experience baselines across the entire enterprise, location, device, the client OS used, and more—all automatically learned.
For organizations that subscribe to the VMware Edge Network Intelligence SaaS service, when their users with the Connector App enabled participate in a live meeting, quality of service data is sent from Zoom to the VMware Edge Network Intelligence backend. The data sent includes IP address, MAC address & username, and the quality of service data includes input/output latency, jitter, packet loss, bit rates and resolution, describing audio, video and screensharing experience. This data will be stored within the VMware Edge Network Intelligence SaaS service, which is (i) hosted by VMware in the United States, and may be accessed by the subscribing organization, and, in a limited capacity, by VMware and its service providers; or (ii) is hosted by the organization itself in its chosen data center. If hosted by VMware, VMware will process the data in accordance with the organization’s Terms of Service with VMware and the VMware privacy notice (https://www.vmware.com/help/privacy.html) as applicable. Zoom is not responsible for the privacy, security or integrity of such data.
